Charlie Willmann Scholarship
The Guadalupe County Child Welfare Board Supporters offers the Charlie Willmann Scholarship to support graduating seniors pursuing education and/or training following graduation. The namesake of this scholarship, Mr. Charlie Willmann, has dedicated his life to farming, service, and leadership with a special focus on youth. After graduating from Seguin High School, he served in the United States Navy during World War II, and later graduated from Texas A&M University. He has supported youth including in the area of agriculture and has served on many boards/committees in Guadalupe County, including the Guadalupe County Child Welfare Board and the Guadalupe County Welfare Board Supporters (501c3).
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP, THE APPLICANT MUST:

Complete graduation from high school the same year of the application

Be in care of the Texas Department of Family Services.

The application must be competed in full by the deadline

Applicants must submit a sealed official transcript.
Awards will be granted to applicants as determined by a selection committee and confirmation of that applicant's acceptance and upon entering a post-secondary institution. (ie., technical program, 2 or 4 year college/university, etc.

Applications will be accepted until Saturday, May 1, 2021. Applications may be submitted via email, USPS mail, or may make arrangements to drop off a hard copy with their CPS case worker.
